October 2005 - New Software

As of 1st October 2005, all Seaport Freight's operational and accounting software systems have been replaced or upgraded in order to streamline our operations and provide a more timely and efficient service to our clients. We are continuing to develop these systems, in line with both regulatory requirements and those of our clients. The next project is to provide an real-time online tracking service, available on the internet, to those clients who require it.

June 2005 - New Export Service to Afghanistan

Our new service to Afghanistan launched this month. Running primarily out of Felixstowe, the service runs by sea to Karachi, Pakistan, from where our Karachi office handles oncarriage into Afghanistan by road.

Subsequent to the military action in the region, the service can carry materials into Afghanistan for companies with rebuilding contracts. We are also able to offer cross trade services, i.e. bringing in materials from elsewhere in the world.

March 2005 - New Warehouse

This month, we moved our ERTS facility to a new, larger, warehouse close to Felixstowe. With ever-increasing traffic, it is important to stay ahead of the game in terms of storage facilities and this move gives us the additional space we need.

April 2004 - Office Move

At the beginning of this month we completed our move to new, larger office premises at Orwell House, adjacent to the Port of Felixstowe. This enables us to cope with planned expansion and the increased staff and record storage space that comes with it.
