Managing Director
Steve has been involved in the freight and logistics industry since 1967. He has worked in many areas of shipping including the movement of heavy plant and planning time sensitive cargo moves. He formed Seaport Freight in 1982 and has developed a network of overseas partners which enables Seaport to offer a worldwide service to their clients.
When not at work Steve can be found on stage indulging his love of pantomime and farce. He is also a big music fan and travels to around 20 concerts and festivals per year.
Peter Roberts
Sales & Development Director
Peter started his career working for Steve Parks in 1977, gaining substantial knowledge of the freight forwarding industry before broadening his horizons in liner agency and passenger services.
In the last fifteen years Peter has held directorships with three companies acquiring a wealth of commercial, sales and marketing experience and is delighted to join forces with Steve once more to help strengthen Seaport's position by combining existing high service levels with ambitious growth plans.
In his spare time Peter is a keen golfer, loves good food and wine and hopes to 'eat' his way around the world!
Debra Parks FCCA
Financial Director
Debra began her career in accountancy in 1984, later qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant. She brought with her a wealth of experience in business and financial matters when she joined Seaport in 1992 and has since developed a thorough understanding of the shipping, forwarding and transport business.
She juggles her work here at Seaport with studying for a degree in English Literature, ‘to get away from the numbers for a while.’ When not working or studying, she loves to travel and enjoys music festivals and theatre.
